To determine the specific model of anionic powder PAM, multiple factors need to be considered comprehensively:
1) pH value: If the sewage is alkaline, sewage PAM polyacrylamide solids is usually more applicable; strongly acidic sewage is less suitable. However, if the acidity is too strong and difficult to treat directly, alkali can be added first to adjust the pH value to neutral or near-neutral before using sewage powder PAM .
2) Content of organic pollutants: When the sewage contains a large amount of organic pollutants, such as wastewater from pharmaceutical factories and food factories, the molecular weight and charge density of sewage PAM polyacrylamide solids need to be considered. Generally, powder PAM with larger molecular weights and moderate charge densities can better adsorb and flocculate organic pollutants.
3) Content of inorganic pollutants: For sewage containing more inorganic pollutants, such as wastewater from steel mills and electroplating factories, the removal ability of inorganic pollutants such as heavy metal ions should be focused on during model selection.
4) Concentration of suspended solids: If the concentration of suspended solids in the sewage is high, sewage powder PAM with a larger molecular weight and stronger flocculation ability needs to be selected to ensure that the suspended solids can be effectively coagulated and precipitated.
5) Sedimentation process: If the main treatment process of sewage is sedimentation, then PAM powder for sewage treatment with a faster sedimentation speed, larger and denser flocs needs to be selected. This can improve the sedimentation efficiency, make the solid particles in the sewage settle faster and the supernatant clearer.
6) Dissolve Air flotation(DAF) process: In the dissolve air flotation process, the role of sewage treatment anionic PAM is to make the microbubbles better combine with pollutant particles to form scum. Therefore, its adaptability and flotation aid effect in the air flotation process should be considered during model selection.
Generally, PAM powder for sewage treatment with a moderate molecular weight and good solubility is more suitable for the dissolve air flotation process. 7) Equipment conditions: Different treatment equipment has different requirements for sewage powder PAM. For example, in some high-speed stirring equipment, sewage PAM polyacrylamide solids with strong shear resistance needs to be selected to prevent its molecular chain from breaking under high-speed stirring and affecting the flocculation effect; while in some equipment with high requirements for the dissolution speed of the agent, products with good solubility need to be selected to ensure rapid dissolution and effectiveness.
