The main functions of emulsion APAM for sludge treatment are as following:
1.Charge neutralization with sludge APAM: The particle surfaces in the sludge usually carry negative charges. The anionic groups in the sludge emulsion APAM can neutralize the negative charges on these particle surfaces, reducing the electrostatic repulsion between the particles and thereby promoting particle coagulation.
2.Adsorption bridging with emulsion for sludge: The polymer chains of sludge APAM can extend and adsorb multiple particles in the sludge, playing a bridging role to coagulate small particles into large particles and form larger flocs. These flocs are easier to sediment and dewater than individual particles.
