Due to the strong water absorption of CPAM polyacrylamide polymer, the PAM powder will quickly absorb the surrounding water and form a gel-like substance. At this time, the stirring device starts to work to disperse the PAM powder in the water. The speed and intensity of the stirring need to be appropriately controlled to avoid excessive stirring causing PAM powder to fly or generate excessive foam. During the dispersion process, the PAM powder gradually comes into contact with water and begins to dissolve. However, the dissolution rate at this stage is relatively slow, mainly to evenly disperse the PAM powder in the water. 2) Dissolution stage: With the continuous stirring, the interaction between the cationic PAM molecules and the water molecules gradually strengthens and the CPAM polyacrylamide polymer powder begins to dissolve at an accelerated rate. The CPAM polyacrylamide polymer molecules will gradually extend in the water, forming long-chain structures and increasing the viscosity of the solution. During the dissolution process, temperature has a certain influence on the dissolution rate. Appropriate increase in water temperature can accelerate the movement speed of the molecules and promote dissolution. But too high a temperature may also lead to the degradation of PAM powder for water treatment polyacrylamide molecules and reduce the performance of the cationic PAM solution. Therefore, an appropriate dissolution temperature needs to be selected according to the specific situation. 3) Usage of PAM powder for water treatment product after dissolved: The dissolved aqueous solution reagent is injected into the mixing device at the front end of the dehydrator through a screw pump or directly mixed with the sludge in the dehydrator to achieve the effect of sludge dewatering.
